Worth County information
Worth County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. It was named for Major General William Jenkins Worth(1749-1849). He served as an officer in both the Black Hawk War and the Mexican-American War.
As of 2000, the population is 7,909. Its county seat is Northwood.
